That’s an awful lot of anything – but in this case, it’s the amount of Qwood beads and bars that has been used on timber windows and doors around the country.
It’s a lot of profile alright. However, it just goes to prove the benefits of the innovative and paintable wood composite profiles that don’t rot, warp and are knot-free. These features ensure timber window and door joiners have less waste, and save time and money when they use Qwood accessories.
One such joiner is The London Box Sash Window company. A 50 year old traditional family business making and installing timber windows in and around the areas of south London. As the name implies, sash windows are a speciality of the business. They are a regular feature of the properties in the region, and Qwood staff and parting beads have helped to enhance the quality of this joiner’s sash windows.
On 20th July, Qwood National Sales Manager Ian Newey, presented the company with a certificate marking the occasion that it had been The London Box Sash Window company that had purchased the 5 millionth metre of Qwood.

(Jack Ellis) says, “Qwood window beads and bars have definitely helped our company. Easy to paint and straight profiles without knots has meant less waste and less maintenance. We have been that impressed, we have commissioned our own Qwood profiles for our range of quality timber windows.”
